A table is furniture that people stand around
A game room is used differently from every other room in a house. People arrive in it, circle it, lean on it and leave it — so the space around the table matters more than the table, and the room has to work with the lights on, full of people, at the end of an evening.
Vismara are furniture makers before they are game-table makers, which is what allows a table to be specified in the materials of the room it stands in rather than in the materials of a games catalogue.

The bar is what makes a game room somewhere to spend an evening rather than somewhere to play a match. It sets the register of the whole space — and it is the piece most often decided last, when the room can no longer accommodate it.
